If you can describe it, you can now see it in SketchUp. With a text prompt and a simple model, you can generate photorealistic or stylized images to demonstrate your distinct idea.
Instead of searching for something similar to what you envision and trying to convey to clients how your concept is “close but a little different,” you can now more precisely capture your unique creation.
Quick tip: Get a head start on your preferred aesthetic by selecting one of Diffusion’s preset styles.
If you’re feeling a little stuck or want to explore more possibilities, find inspiration by describing the image you’d like to see. AI can generate new concepts based on your prompts, helping you visualize fresh ideas effortlessly. Settings sliders allow you to control how much influence your text description has on the generated images and how closely they adhere to your original model.
For example, if you have a basic massing model and want to explore different forms and finishes, you can describe your vision and adjust the settings accordingly. Increasing “prompt influence” while lowering “respect model geometry” will generate images that transform your model based on your description, sparking new design directions. Conversely, if you’re further along in your process and want to refine elements like context, lighting, or materials, increasing “respect model geometry” ensures the generated images align closely with your existing design while incorporating the specified details.
